Lake on the Mountain Resort is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate line cook to join our amazing team for this coming season.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare food, chop vegetables, butcher meat, prepare sauces, etc.
Ensure careful preparation of dishes as per our recipes.
Assist other cooks during the food assembly process.
Follow standards and recipes developed.
Properly monitor product freshness and food standards.
Support daily food production for retail food products.
Collaborate with local food distributors and farmers to source fresh ingredients.
Create innovative menu items using seasonal produce from our on-site gardens.
Work in the gardens as needed, including harvesting ingredients for daily specials.
Assist Head Chef with inventory of food and other supplies.
Comply with and enforce hygiene and food safety standards.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and order.
Skills:
Excellent cook who enjoys cooking simply with the best ingredients available.
Strong communicator.
Capable of multi-tasking while maintaining a high attention to detail.
Comfortable and confident working in a fast paced, high volume environment.
Flexible to the needs of the business.
